Privacy policy
Ixpenz keeps your household's money records (expenses, income, refunds and transfers) in notebooks, from the receipts and sentences you send it in ChatGPT or Claude. This page says what Ixpenz collects, what it uses it for, who receives it, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.
Who runs Ixpenz
Ixpenz is run by Rustam Samandarov, Tashkent, Nurafshon 38, 5, Uzbekistan. For any question about your data, write to support@rsteam.uz.
What Ixpenz collects
- Your account: your name and email address. If you set a password, only a hash of it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, also the profile picture it gives and the sign-in tokens it issues for your account.
- Sign-in codes and links: the one-time code, email-confirmation link or password-reset link Ixpenz sends you, kept in its database as needed to check it when you use it, linked to your email address or account.
- Sign-in sessions: each time you sign in on ixpenz.rsteam.uz, a session with the IP address and browser it came from.
- The connection to your assistant: when you connect Ixpenz in ChatGPT or Claude, the app registration the assistant creates (its name, web addresses and contact details), the access you approved and the access tokens it uses.
- Your settings: the language you choose, the currency Ixpenz took from your language when you signed up, your default notebook for expenses, and each notebook's home currency.
- Your notebooks: each notebook's name and type; its members, with the name each is shown by and when they joined; and the join links the owner creates, with who used each one and when.
- Your records: for each expense, income, refund or transfer, its date, amount and currency, the amount in the notebook's home currency with the exchange rate used, the merchant and the address printed on the receipt, the category, the line items, your note, who recorded it and who paid, and its project or fixed amount when it has one.
- A location, only when you tap Add location (or Change) on an expense or refund card, which asks your device for its position, or tap Use it on a location Ixpenz suggests from an earlier receipt at the same address: the latitude, longitude, accuracy and time. Ixpenz looks nothing up from it. It is kept on that record alone.
- Receipt photos: the photos you send with a record or attach later, with their file name, type and size, and a fingerprint of each photo that lets Ixpenz notice the same photo sent twice in a notebook.
- Places: for each notebook, the merchants it has receipts from, with the printed address and the spellings seen on receipts. When a new receipt shows the same printed address, Ixpenz can offer the location of an earlier receipt from there.
- Corrections: every change or undo of a record value, with the value it replaced and the member who made it. A replaced note, merchant or location stays in this log.
- Fixed amounts and projects: the recurring incomes, bills and transfers you save, with their amount and approximate day of the month, and the projects you group records into.
- Server logs: the web server in front of Ixpenz logs each request: the IP address, the time, the address requested, the response, and the browser or app that sent it.
Records and account data are kept in Ixpenz's database; receipt photos are kept in Ixpenz's file storage. Both run on the operator's server in Germany, rented from Contabo. Ixpenz keeps no scheduled backups of your data.
Cross-border transfer: Ixpenz's operator is in Uzbekistan and its server is in Germany, so the data you send Ixpenz leaves Uzbekistan and is stored and processed in Germany.
What Ixpenz uses your data for
- To keep and show your records: to save them and their photos, check them for duplicates, convert them to a notebook's home currency, add up what you spend, and build the exports you ask for.
- To sign you in and keep you signed in, and to send the sign-in code, email-confirmation and password-reset emails. Ixpenz sends no other email.
- To let the assistant you connected work with your Ixpenz data on your behalf.
- To let the members of a shared notebook see and keep its records together.
- To keep Ixpenz secure and working: the IP address and browser of your sessions and the server logs are used only to protect your account and find faults.
Ixpenz does not sell your data, show advertising, build profiles of you, track you across other sites, or use your data to train AI models. It uses no analytics.
What your assistant sends and receives
Ixpenz does not read your receipts. The assistant you use (ChatGPT or Claude) reads the photo and passes Ixpenz the values it found and how sure it is of each. Ixpenz checks them, for example for a likely duplicate in the notebook, and saves them. Ixpenz has no image or text recognition of its own; it keeps the photo only as the record's original.
When the assistant uses an Ixpenz tool, it sends only what that tool needs: the values to save or change, a short note from your words, notebook, project and fixed-amount names, the search words of a question, your choice of language or currency, and the receipt photos, which Ixpenz downloads from the link the assistant gives it. It also passes the language of your chat, which Ixpenz uses for that reply only and does not store.
Ixpenz's answers go back into your chat: your records with their dates, amounts, categories, merchants, addresses, notes, line items, projects, locations, and the names of who recorded and paid; your notebook names and the names of their members; totals; the names of photos that could not be stored; the join links you create; and download links for your exports. Your email address is not part of any answer.
Ixpenz never asks for your conversation and does not store your chat messages. Your conversation, including Ixpenz's answers in it, stays with ChatGPT or Claude under their own privacy terms.
Who receives your data
- Contabo, the hosting company that rents Ixpenz its server in Germany, stores the data on that server.
- Resend sends Ixpenz's emails, so it receives your email address and the message: the sign-in code, or the email-confirmation or password-reset link.
- Google or Apple signs you in when you choose that sign-in.
- ChatGPT or Claude, whichever assistant you connect, receives what Ixpenz's tools return to it, described above, under its own privacy terms.
- The other members of a notebook you share see what is described below.
Ixpenz takes no payments, uses no analytics and shares your data with nobody else.
Sign-in and cookies
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, with a password, or with Google or Apple when the sign-in page offers them. A sign-in code expires after 5 minutes; an email confirmation or password reset link expires after 1 hour. These are the only emails Ixpenz sends.
When you sign in with Google or Apple, it gives Ixpenz your name, your email address and, if it has one, your profile picture. If it reports the email address as verified and an Ixpenz account already uses it, that sign-in joins the account.
ixpenz.rsteam.uz uses cookies only to sign you in and keep you signed in. The language you pick on a public page is kept in your browser only. Its pages load no analytics or advertising scripts, and its fonts are served from ixpenz.rsteam.uz itself.
Who can see your data
Your Personal notebook is yours alone: nobody else sees it, and it cannot be shared.
Every member of a shared notebook sees all of its records, with their receipt photos, line items, notes, locations and corrections and who recorded and paid each one, and can correct, move or delete them. Members see each other's names, not their email addresses.
A notebook's creator is its owner. Only the owner creates join links and removes members. A join link works once and for 7 days, and whoever opens it and signs in can join the notebook. Ixpenz has no button to cancel an unused link.
When you join a shared notebook, Ixpenz offers to move records from your Personal notebook into it, and moves them only if you tick that box. A moved record is then seen by every member.
In your chat you can also ask the assistant to move a record to another notebook of yours. A record moved to a shared notebook is seen by its members.
Your assistant sees what Ixpenz's tools return to it, as described above.
How long Ixpenz keeps your data
- Your notebooks, records, line items, locations, corrections, receipt photos, fixed amounts, projects and settings: until you delete them or delete your account. Records you made in a shared notebook that has other members stay there when you delete your account.
- A record you delete: kept for 30 days so you can restore it. After 30 days it cannot be restored, and Ixpenz's daily clean-up then erases it for good, usually within a day, with its line items, receipt photos, location and corrections.
- Places: kept with their notebook, so a merchant's name, printed address and spellings stay after the records they came from are erased, until the notebook is deleted.
- Your account and the connection to your assistant: until you delete your account.
- A web session lasts 7 days and is renewed when you use it. An assistant's access token works for 1 hour and its refresh token for 30 days.
- Ixpenz does not clear expired sessions, tokens and sign-in codes on a schedule. They can no longer be used and are erased when you delete your account.
- Join links: 7 days, and once used. Export download links: 24 hours.
- Server logs: about 15 weeks; they are rotated weekly and the oldest are erased.
Your choices and controls
- See your notebooks, records, receipt photos and the history of every correction in your chat or on ixpenz.rsteam.uz.
- Correct any value, undo a change, move a record to another notebook, and delete or restore a record, in your chat or on ixpenz.rsteam.uz.
- A location is never added unless you tap for it. To remove one, ask the assistant to remove it, or delete the record.
- Choose Ixpenz's language, your default notebook for expenses and a notebook's home currency.
- Share a notebook only when you want to, remove a member if you own it, or leave a shared notebook at any time.
- Disconnect Ixpenz in your assistant's settings at any time. Its access then ends within 30 days as its tokens expire; to end it at once, delete your account or email support@rsteam.uz.
Taking your data out
Ask ChatGPT or Claude to export one notebook or all your notebooks, or do it on ixpenz.rsteam.uz, and Ixpenz gives you a ZIP with a CSV of the records (date, type, amount, currency, home amount, category, merchant, notebook, project, member, note and location) and their receipt photos. It comes as a download link that works for 24 hours for whoever has it, and the file is built from your data at the moment the link is opened. Deleted records are not included.
Leaving a notebook
You can leave any shared notebook, and its owner can remove you. The records stay in the notebook under your name, so its history is not broken, and you get a copy in your Personal notebook of the expenses, refunds and income you recorded there, with their line items, notes, locations and receipt photos. If the owner leaves, the longest-standing member becomes owner. When the last member leaves, the notebook is deleted with its records and photos.
Deleting your data
Any member who sees a record can delete it. Ixpenz says what will go and deletes only after you say yes; deleting an expense deletes its refunds with it. A deleted record leaves every view at once and can be restored for 30 days; after that it is erased for good, with its line items, receipt photos, location and corrections.
You can delete your account, in your chat or on ixpenz.rsteam.uz. Ixpenz shows what goes and what stays, offers an export first, and deletes only after you confirm, either by pressing "Delete everything" on its card or by typing the word "delete". It erases your sign-in, your profile, your sessions, the connection to your assistant, your Personal notebook with everything in it, every fixed amount you created, and every shared notebook you are the last member of, with its records and receipt photos. The deletion happens at once and cannot be undone.
The records you created in shared notebooks that have other members stay there, with their corrections, shown under a former member instead of your name. Nothing is copied to anyone.
